Jaguar Sponsors GLAAD Media Awards

MAHWAH, N.J., April 18, 2001 -- For the second consecutive year, Jaguar North America will sponsor the 12th Annual GLAAD Media Awards.

The automaker will donate a one-year S-TYPE lease through a two-week virtual cyber-auction. Guests may place bids online at computer kiosks during GLAAD's New York and Los Angeles events. All proceeds will benefit the GLAAD organization.

"Jaguar is proud to once again be associated with GLAAD's annual award ceremonies," commented Javelyn Baldwin, cultural marketing manager for Jaguar North America. "Sponsoring this event shows our support for an organization that strives to educate and eliminate discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation."

The first GLAAD 2001 award ceremony was held in New York City Monday, April 16, and three additional ceremonies will follow in Los Angeles, Washington D.C. and San Francisco.
